Let's start off with an old and boring question: Why am I even writing these blog entries? Hell if I know! I doubt anyone even gives a shit, including me. Which means I'll write it either way.
But I digress, on to the news.
First regarding TyNET:
The software has barely been out (released on 17 Sep 2011) and I'm already working on the next version. Why am I doing this? Well, to be honest, v3's design is awful. There's many many flaws, especially in its INIT design, which makes the framework a slow piece of slimey, dripping garbage. v4 has a custom INIT design, specifically created to be slick and fast, while maintaining v3's flexibility: This new INIT system should be a lot faster and take quite a chunk of server load away. For this to work, the CORE needs to be remade from scratch and the modules need to be reworked or rewritten completely to become compatible.
Aside from the new CORE, it'll introduce a hooks system, which allows modules to dynamically integrate into each other and extend functionality where it needs to be.
Next to that I'm also working on concepts for some kind of automatic layout system that would allow for easy designs and better post styling. But that's for later.
And then there's school… Which will start again on Monday, so I'll surely have loads of fun with that. Even less time for my things, how great.
Now uh, I will have to focus more on school since the finals are gonna come up, so yeah. Even less content from me than usual I guess.
Uh yeah. Maybe I'll have more to say on this later on.
