I'm going through a slow and painful overhaul of my life situation and am rethinking all the things I want to do and stuff. Also holidays. So… it's 1AM and I'm writing an entry for 80 Kanjis. I'm already 3 days late and I am pissed. Expect stupidity.
[季](http://kanjidamage.com/kanji/375)The children open the new season by burning what. Idk.
I had a hard time remembering this one because I couldn't find any real connection.
Wheat smells good during the day.
When wheat looks like fire, it's Fall. Or your field is burning.
Fall fills the heart with sorrow.
I didn't find a mnemonic for this.
This does not yet have a full upper stroke.
My little sister is not yet a woman.
My mouth has not yet tasted the flavour.
It sort of looks like bundle of hay. That's close enough for me.
Sadly I can't come up with a mnemonic for this word. It's sad, because I really like how it's oddly specific.
A perplexed person says: “This is a mystery!”sup{[Kanjidamage]}
It was decided to axe the loser who stole the rice.
A loser inherits you some string and rice.
The fortuneteller used sticky rice for her rituals.
Rice is an essential part of nine out of ten Japanese meals.sup{[Kanjidamage]}
Rice grains are standing upwards.
If you divide rice, you get powder.
I got nothing.
I'll come visit your rice field if you give me your number.
He was judged of stealing the crown a number of times.
It's a bit unfortunate that this looks more like a person than 人 does. OH WELL.
George Michael hid way in the back of the big rice field.
It's strange how it's possible for big things to unfold. … I dunno. I wanted to say something along the lines of “Isn't it strange how many little things can cause a huge variety of big results?”, but that's obviously way too long and complicated for a mnemonic.
The strange man got close to the crown. AND NOW HE'S RUNNING AWAY WITH IT! CATCH THE BASTARD!
My own shoes are causing a big stink.sup{[Kanjidamage]}
They got all worked up about the turkey on the rice field.
A big instrument lay by the products.
He thrust a big hole into the wall with his hammer.
The big moustache was the central attraction.
The sun projected a shadow onto the central road.
It sorta looks like a hero (guy with chest armor) with some flowers on his head.
Idunno.
A person ordered the dog to lay face down.
The villagers burnt the dog who wouldn't shut up.
It's natural to set a dog on fire every evening.sup{[Kanjidamage]}
If nature is on fire, it burns.
I….dunno. Not really hard to remember though.
A fat horse is of bad quality
I got a flower from China, aka the Middle Kingdom.sup{[Kanjidamage]}
It's chinese water.
Catching turkeys from China is difficult.
Alll the strong dudes from China were employed at the fish market.
People from China often let a sigh out of their mouth.
Opium flowers grow big in the sun.sup{[Kanjidamage]}
Idunno.
Opium overdose puts a thousand graves underneath the earth every year. (Probably not statistically accurate)
Take some opium every day you live.
The recruits need strong opium against the pain.
Idunno.
Addicts need opium like desert travelers need water.sup{[Kanjidamage]}
Idunno.
The origin of kindness is in the heart.sup{[Kanjidamage]}
Bacteria will eat all your plants and stored wheat.
If you put a tree in a box, you'll be in trouble soon, I guess?
A prison is a box for people.
Idunno.
The old bread in the big box has gotten too hard to eat.sup{[Kanjidamage]}
I only have the generic idea for plastering a mnemonic together, but nothing really smart comes to mind.
If only this had meant “net” or “mesh”…
He was well surrounded by a big box.
Kinda looks like a bowl with “stuff” in it, I guess? Eh.
The king is a line above the earth (since they were believed to be holy for quite some time).
I really dunno.
Looks like a map?
Sorta looks like a crown, I guess?
The king's reason to destroy the village was unclear.
The king is responsible for his people.
The king got the woman pregnant.
The emperor is a white king.
As the king's organs failed, he only had the desire to die.
Kings have the mouth and ears of holy people.
A king can open his mouth to a huge extent to fill it with wheat.
The lesser of a king is still a master.
The contract says to kill the big master with a sword.
This Kanji is ridiculously specific to me. I doubt I'll ever come across it. Nevertheless: If you talk (mouth) well over a drink and smoke, you'll get the contract.
Personally I disagree with the decomposition of what Kanjidamage has written, as it looks like it's made up of ‘string’, ‘sword’, ‘waterleft’ and ‘master’. As for the drink… it's honorable to enjoy a drink of water? Idfk.
Looks like a mug pouring water.
The master pillar is made of wood.
